This kit was produced with the intention of providing general and useful legal information for seniors and those that assist them. This material is not intended to take the place of an attorney or to provide answers to specific legal questions, but it may help you decide when further legal advice or counsel is needed.
The format of The Debtor Protection Kit is based on the checklist that follows this introduction. Use the checklist to help determine which portion of the kit will be useful for your individual situation.
If you are a Michigan resident, age 60 or over, and you have additional questions about the material in The Debtor Protection Kit, please call the Legal Hotline for Michigan Seniors at 1-800-347-5297.
